Ron Blankenship

Strategist
Ron is a Director of Missions/Church Planter
Strategist at Montgomery Baptist Association in Rockville, Maryland, as
an appointed home missionary with the Associational Strategy Team/Church
Planting Group of the North American Mission Board of the Southern Baptist
Convention. He has been serving at the Associaiton since early September,
1999.
He has been the pastor of churches in Kentucky,
Virginia and Tennessee. He had previously served as a Special Care and
Bereavement Coordinator. He founded and directed Fresh Ideas Ministries
in Nashville, TN. He was an adjunct college instructor. Ron also has done
freelance writing contributing to articles in various magazines and publications.
Ron was born in Gilbert, West Virginia
on June 9, 1956. He graduated from Marshall University where he received
his BBA in Accounting and Finance. He then continued his education at Southern
Baptist Theological Seminary, Louisville, Kentucky where he received
his MDIV, MA/CE and DMIN degrees.
He has been heavily involved with the Southern
Baptist Convention (local, state and executive levels) by heading up committees
such as Ministers Relations and Ordination Committee, Nominating Committee,
Ministers Conference, Administrative Committee, Personnel Committee, Committee
on Committees, General Missions Board and the
Church Planting Team.
Ron is married to Evelyn F. Blankenship
and they have three children, Nathan 18, Melanie 16, and
Angela 11. The family lives in Montgomery Village, Maryland. |
