Missions Office Manager
Sherrie Riggs has served as Montgomery Baptist Associational Missions Office Manager since January 1994. She has lived in Montgomery County since the age of three, growing up in the southern party of the county, in Cabin John, Maryland. She and her family were members of a nearby church, Glen Echo Baptist, of Glen Echo, MD, She is married to Thomas Riggs. They have been married for 36 years and live in Germantown, MD. They have two daughters, Meredith 30, married to Ben Henning (they live in Frederick, Maryland) and Heather 25, married to Edgard Paz (they live in Germantown.) Heather and Edgard have a baby daughter, Taylor, who is 2 years old. Meredith and Ben have newborn, identical twin sons, Conner and Tanner. They were born in February 2011. The Riggs have lived in Germantown for the past twenty five years. Sherrie was a long-time member at Redland Baptist Church in Derwood, Maryland, but is curently a member at First Baptist Church of Damascus, in Damascus, MD. Both churches are long-time member churches of The MBA. Sherrie has been a member of FBC Damascus for seven years. Her favorite past-time is spending time with her three grandchildren. When she has the time, her other interests include reading, painting (especially in watercolors), gardening, jewelry making, and other arts and handcrafting.
